I just started this bible study called “Brave girl” & it’s so awesome so I felt inspired to write this.

As girls in this world, you feel the pressure of society. The pressure to be “perfect”. The pressure to be thin. The pressure to be the prettiest. All this causes competition.

Society portrays this image of some model who number one doesn’t even look like that in person because girls, these are false advertisements!! Yes that model is beautiful but she doesn’t define your beauty!! Just because she is thin or has a natural beautiful face doesn’t make you any less beautiful & this is the problem. Someone’s beauty or body doesn’t define who you are!!

So stop staring at her pictures to the point where you become bitter over her and you don’t even know her. Stop comparing yourself to her just because she gets more likes than you on Instagram. Stop competing between other girls to be the “prettiest”. Stop hating others because you want to be thin like her. She has her own insecurities.

Society wants to bring us down, the devil wants to attack us every change he gets! He wants to make you feel less of yourself, he wants to make you turn against humanity and he lives off of hate! So if you hate some girl and are bitter over her because of self body image then you are letting him defeat you!! Us as girls are at war with enemy but guess who we have on our side? CHRIST, who can weaken is with Him on our sides!! Girls, we are all on the same side, so please stop competing for a “spot” to be the prettiest. Stop hating each other over a boy!! Stop hating each other and being bitter because you want to look like her! Because guess what? That girl you want to be, has insecurities just like you and wants to be other people as well!! We have to unite girls!!! How about instead of only having enough spots for your friends, open the doors up to every girl. What if we all got along and we all complimented each other and we stopped competing for a spot but encouraged each other!!

I know you are thinking that I’m being unrealistic and being too optimistic, but I’m not! Wrap your negative head around this, Jesus died for us. He was crucified and carried our hate, shame, guilt, and sin to the cross so we can be forgiven!! Did He do that so we can continue to hate ourselves & comepete for a “spot”? No!! It’s time to say YES to God and No to society!! I’m being realistic right now because I believe that we can change the world. This generation can make a stop to this!!

Society says that we have to be a size 2 to be happy or be beautiful . They say we have to be thin to love ourselves!! They say we have to look like this or think like this.

Psalm 139: 13-16 says, ” For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.Wonderful are your works;my soul knows it very well.My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret,  intricately woven in the depths of the earth.Your eyes saw my unformed substance;in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me,when as yet there was none of them”

You know what’s truly beautiful?? Kindness!! Confidence!! A Godly woman!!

All these things are true beauty, love yourself because you are beautiful, worthy, and a daughter of the king!!

So no more shaming other girls, hating them, or competing with them!! Open your heart and mind to what God says you are and what He says your true identity is!! Love others as He loves you!

I was you once, I competed with every girl because I felt as if I had to prove I was the “prettiest.” I hated other girls because I was bitter over them. I tried it all to help me love myself but I never started loving myself till I saw myself through Gods eyes!! Till I found my true idenity!

Love yourself! You are made by a perfect God! & love others as well!!!

Be brave, be bold , be you.
